Martin Luther King Jr. Parade

For more than 35 years, Dallas has held one of the biggest memorial services in the country in honor of Dr. King. The parade, which features a colorful assortment of floats and marching bands, happens in the middle of January along MLK Boulevard.

The Dallas Arboretum, which hosts the largest floral festival in the Southwest, is a stunning sight to behold during Dallas Blooms. The garden is a wonderful site to come in the spring because it has over 500,000 blossoms, including tulips and pansies.

Taste of Dallas

Dallas Arts Month

Throughout the month of April, Dallas honors regional visual and performing artists by presenting the vibrant arts community. A total of about 100 events, including festivals, plays, concerts, and exhibitions, are held.

North Texas Irish Festival

In March, Fair Park hosts one of the nation’s most prestigious festivals of Irish culture, just in time for St. Patrick’s Day. World-class Celtic bands, competitive dance, and whisky tastings are all part of the celebrations.

Dallas St. Patrick’s Day Parade & Festival

This St. Patrick’s Day festival, a Dallas tradition for more than 35 years, draws thousands of people to the streets each year. More than 90 vibrant floats travel down Greenville Avenue as part of the parade.

Deep Ellum Arts Festival

Visit Deep Ellum for this three-day event in early April to see Dallas at its most eclectic, diversified, and laid-back. The festival’s live music stages are tucked away in different locations, while the neighborhood’s main streets are lined with electric art stalls.

State Fair of Texas

The State Fair of Texas is the oldest fair in the country and is held in storied Fair Park. Every fall, the fair delivers 24 days of family entertainment and pleasure to Dallas, including the well-known Fletcher’s corny dog and the Texas Star Ferris wheel.
